The People’s President: H.E. Mnangagwa Targets Grassroots Upliftment with Multi-Million Dollar Investment

Under the direction of H.E. President E.D. Mnangagwa, Harare’s DCC 6 structures have been earmarked for an unprecedented package of empowerment and community upliftment initiatives, reflecting the Second Republic’s commitment to tangible development. Cde Kudakwashe Tagwirei served as the emissary delivering the President’s commitments to the district.

To strengthen party organs and grassroots structures, US$450,000 has been allocated by the President, with the Main Wing, Women’s League, Youth League and War Veterans each receiving US$112,500. In keeping with the President’s philosophy of inclusive development, persons with disabilities in DCC 6 will receive US$50,000 in targeted support.

Communities will benefit from 120 solar-powered boreholes, while health services will be transformed through the construction of ten clinics, five of which will include maternity wards, advancing the President’s push for accessible and modern healthcare.

Private citizens responding to the President’s call for collective action have added donations such as wheelchairs for Beatrice Hospital, 200 more wheelchairs for vulnerable groups, welding machines, Starlink units, and thousands of holiday hampers for families across the district.

As part of honouring exceptional community members, Mbuya Hwiza will receive US$25,000, with her children also supported, and her home to be fully renovated. Economic opportunities will expand through the establishment of Tsiga Market, and mobilisation will be strengthened as all ZANU PF cell members in Harare receive party regalia.

These interventions form part of H.E. President E.D. Mnangagwa’s ongoing programme to uplift every community and accelerate the nation’s march toward Vision 2030.
